However, there are a few differences between the two.<\/p>\n<p>Those differences are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Currency Sign<\/strong>: The accounting number format places the currency sign to the extreme left of the cell.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zeros as Dashes<\/strong>: Your zeros are displayed as dashes in this number format.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Negatives in Parentheses<\/strong>: The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/401522\/how-to-change-how-excel-displays-negative-numbers\/\">negative numbers are displayed in <code>()<\/code> (parentheses).
