“#Peacemaker: HBO Max Drops Trailer for James Gunn’s Suicide Squad Spinoff<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

John Cena will play Peacemaker again in 2022.<\/p>\n

HBO Max on Friday dropped the full-length trailer and key art for the forthcoming spinoff of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.<\/p>\n

If you like watching things blow up, comedy, and people teaming up for the greater good, then it will be a show for you.<\/p>\n

\"Peacemaker<\/img><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The trailer manages to capture the tone of The Suicide Squad very well, and hopefully, the finished product lives up to the hype.<\/p>\n

The DC series<\/a> debuts Thursday, January 13, and will explore the origins of the Peacemaker — a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it<\/p>\n

The cast also includes Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.<\/p>\n

Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five, including the first.<\/p>\n

Gunn, Safran, and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer.<\/p>\n

Peacemaker nabbed a formal pickup in 2020 ahead of the release of The Suicide Squad.<\/p>\n

James Gunn said of the series order last year:<\/p>\n

“I am unbelievably excited to have the chance to team up with him again for Peacemaker. We can\u2019t wait for fans to see this.\u201d<\/p>\n
