{"id":376069,"date":"2021-12-03T01:13:44","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T22:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/nyt-downplays-steele-dossiers-impact-on-trump-russia-probe\/"},"modified":"2021-12-03T01:13:44","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T22:13:44","slug":"nyt-downplays-steele-dossiers-impact-on-trump-russia-probe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/nyt-downplays-steele-dossiers-impact-on-trump-russia-probe\/","title":{"rendered":"#NYT downplays Steele Dossier&#8217;s impact on Trump-Russia probe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#NYT downplays Steele Dossier&#8217;s impact on Trump-Russia probe<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Journalists, authors and ex-White House aides took to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> Thursday slamming the New York Times for an explainer that downplayed the impact of the since-discredited Steele dossier on the Russia investigation into former President Donald Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The story, headlined, \u201cWhy the Discredited Dossier Does Not Undercut the Russia Investigation\u201d and written by Washington correspondent Charlie Savage, attempts to distance the dossier from the Russia investigation, saying the two are \u201ctangential.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Trump and his allies have insinuated that the F.B.I. based the Russia investigation on the dossier. But when counterintelligence agents launched the effort on July 30, 2016, they did not yet know about the dossier. But it was also a largely tangential distraction from the actual Russia investigation, despite misleading attempts to conflate them.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Others pointed out the New York Times\u2019 reporting as a whole which \u2014 along with many other major media outlets such as the Washington Post and MSNBC \u2014 promoted the dossier as not entirely \u201cdisproven\u201d for some time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSorry, Charlie. No. NYT dutifully reported as spun by a Clinton operation designed to undo free and fair election results and hobble a presidency. The only question is not who, but HOW MANY OF YOU knew full well you were part of the operation. You destroyed families. Give it up, hoaxers.
