\n A Missouri man is being commended on his courage after bravely rescuing a driver who was trapp<\/a>ed in a burning vehicle.<\/p>\n

A Twitter<\/a> video of the dramatic moment, captioned \u201cThis black man is a hero,\u201d has garnered over 800,000 views since it was uploaded on Wednesday\u00a0night.<\/p>\n

The selfless act occurred Tuesday evening in St. Louis after 23-year-old Keilen Robinson crashed into the cement median on Interstate 70 and was unconscious in his flaming car, reports Fox News<\/a>. Fellow motorist Antonio Morgan heard the collision and immediately pulled over so he could free Robinson from the wreck, as onlookers filmed the ordeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to get him out,\u201d Morgan told Fox News, adding that he didn\u2019t give up despite debris from the fire \u201cburning my eyes and hurting my throat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the harrowing minute-and-a-half clip, which was captured by Morgan\u2019s 14-year-old son, showed the brave soul trying unsuccessfully to yank the trapped driver from his smoldering vehicle. He later revealed he was hindered by the fact that Robinson was locked in by his own seatbelt. After yet another failed extraction, another man on the scene can be heard urging Morgan to step away from the blaze.<\/p>\n

However, the determined rescuer persevered and managed to pull Robinson free before being engulfed by the inferno.<\/p>\n

The clip concluded with Morgan and other bystanders dragging Robinson to safety, whereupon he was tended to by a police officer.<\/p>\n

Morgan freed Robinson from the fiery wreck with seconds to spare.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a protector by nature,\u201d responded Morgan when asked about his heroic deed. \u201cI\u2019m just doing what comes natural to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, he also made sure to criticize the gawkers who stood by and recorded the incident rather than lend a hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll that putting up a phone and not stopping and helping, that\u2019s enough of that,\u201d said Morgan. \u201cPut the phones down, and let\u2019s get into this action.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robinson, for one, is eternally grateful to his savior. \u201cI can\u2019t thank him enough, man,\u201d he said. \u201cHe will always be a part of my life and my family\u2019s life. That\u2019s a good man.\u201d<\/p>\n

The online masses seconded his sentiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the hero in my eyes. He didn\u2019t cower at all,\u201d gushed the original poster.<\/p>\n

Another awestruck commenter tweeted, \u201cThat is not an easy feat when your heart is going 150 bpm and every instinct in you is telling you to run! He\u2019s a freakin superhero.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
