Helps me relax.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 59-year-old financial titan said his side hustle initially raised eyebrows at Goldman, saying he was told, \u201cYou can\u2019t do that\u2026 it\u2019ll hurt your career professionally.\u201d \u201cI thought about it and I said, \u2018I enjoy this, I\u2019m not doing anything wrong,&#8217;\u201d Solomon said. \u201cI\u2019m having fun\u2026 it makes me feel good.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>One source close to Solomon said that, despite his hard-driving management style, many Goldman employees have now accepted and even embraced their boss\u2019s DJ\u2019ing habit. \u201cPeople respect commitment and he works hard at it,\u201d the source said. At 16, he got the OK from his parents to trek from the NYC suburbs to Madison Square Garden on a school night to take in a Led Zeppelin concert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember the first Bruce Springsteen concert I ever went to,\u201d Solomon said. \u201cThis would\u2019ve been 1978 and I said to my dad, \u2018I just saw God.\u2019 This is the most unbelievable experience to see him live.
