target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a> Inc. experienced their best trading day in 13 years after an earnings report that led analysts to predict the chip maker\u2019s ascension into the top tier of hot semiconductor stocks. <\/p>\n<p> Marvell shares<br \/>\n        MRVL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200053236\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+17.68%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       increased 17.7% Friday following the company\u2019s fiscal third-quarter earnings report, which saw Marvell top expectations for its latest quarter, issue an upbeat forecast for the current period, and offer encouraging longer-term commentary. The stock posted its largest single-day percentage gain since Dec. 3, 2008, when it rose 20.4%. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Chief Financial Officer Jean Hu said on the earnings call late Thursday that she expects \u201ccontinued strong demand across our end markets and improvement in supply to drive our top line revenue growth above 30% in fiscal 2023.\u201d That projection generated enthusiasm, as did Marvell\u2019s January-quarter revenue forecast that implied upwards of 60% growth. <\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s earnings call could have been \u201cone of the best (if not the best) semi\u00a0conf[erence]\u00a0calls I have listened to in quite some time,\u201d wrote Mizuho desk-based analyst Jordan Klein in a note affiliated with Mizuho\u2019s sales operations and not its research team. \u201cIn fact, it was a GAME-CHANGER for investors and in my view squarely positions\u00a0Marvell as a best-in-class GROWTH SEMI into CY22,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Marvell \u201cwill be in the same camp now\u201d as Advanced Micro Devices Inc.<br \/>\n        AMD,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208144392\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-4.43%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and Nvidia Corp.<br \/>\n        NVDA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200467500\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-4.46%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       he argued, amid the company\u2019s cheery growth projections and likely expectations among the bull camp for $4 a share in annual earnings power within a few years. The company has a \u201cclear line of sight given a backlog full of design wins that has basically locked in that growth rate\u201d on the revenue line, he said in his note.<\/p>\n<p>The current FactSet EPS consensus is $1.54 for the current fiscal year, and is $2.20 for next year.<\/p>\n<p>Klein wasn\u2019t alone in likening Marvell to a red-hot chip stock. \u201cMarvell just pulled an \u2018Nvidia\u2019 on the Street last night, with an unambiguous beat and raise and taking FY23 sales growth to over 30%,\u201d Rosenblatt Securities analyst Hans Mosesmann wrote.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subscribe:<\/strong>\u00a0Want intel on all the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> moving markets? Sign up for our daily Need to Know newsletter.<\/p>\n<p>Marvell\u2019s report sparked at least one upgrade from a research analyst: Cowen &amp; Co.\u2019s Karl Ackerman, who lifted his rating on Marvell\u2019s stock to outperform from market perform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to argue this was anything but a watershed quarter with a triad of better results, better guidance, and an expanding design pipeline that anchors a new F23 guide,\u201d Ackerman wrote. <\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>Ackerman cheered Marvell\u2019s recent evolution, anchored by \u201cportfolio-optimization\u201d progress that has made the company increasingly competitive, in his view. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMarvell has transformed itself from being a fast-follower to a market leader of providing semi-custom, integrated ICs on leading-edge silicon that address bandwidth friction existing in today\u2019s networks,\u201d he wrote, while increasing his price target to $100 from $60.<\/p>\n<p>The report served as validation for those who had already taken bullish views on the stock and are now bringing their expectations higher. \u201cTaking a step back, we have been highlighting\u00a0Marvell as one of the best growth stories in semis, and to this end they are clearly not dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointing,\u201d Evercore ISI analyst C.J.
