Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov cited Schmidt\u2019s experience \u201cbuilding global software platforms for next-generation innovation\u201d in the firm\u2019s decision to bring the former Google exec on board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe launch of blockchains and smart contracts has demonstrated tremendous potential for the building of new business models, but it has become clear that one of blockchain\u2019s greatest advantages \u2014 a lack of connection to the world outside itself \u2014 is also its biggest challenge,\u201d said Schmidt.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his time at Google and Alphabet, Schmidt was chair of the Department of Defense\u2019s Innovation Board, chair of the National Security&#8217;s Commission on Artificial Intelligence and served on the boards of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le, Princeton University, Carnegie Mellon University and the Mayo Clinic.
