A new Studio Ponoc<\/strong>-produced movie titled The Imaginary<\/em> (Yaneura no Rudger<\/em>) has been announced with a teaser trailer, poster, and a Summer 2022 Japanese release date. Directing the movie is Yoshiyuki Momose<\/strong>, who previously helmed the 2019 Ni no Kuni\u00a0<\/em>movie and has credits ranging from character design on the Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom<\/em> video game<\/a> to key animation on Studio Ghibli films like Porco Rosso<\/em>, Pom Poko <\/em>and Whisper of the Heart<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Imaginary<\/em> is based on the 2014 novel by A. F. Harrold<\/strong> with illustrations from Emily Gravett<\/strong>. Ponoc<\/strong> describes the movie as:<\/span><\/p>\n
