{"id":379238,"date":"2021-12-10T16:35:47","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T13:35:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/prices-spike-6-8-percent-most-in-39-years\/"},"modified":"2021-12-10T16:35:47","modified_gmt":"2021-12-10T13:35:47","slug":"prices-spike-6-8-percent-most-in-39-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/prices-spike-6-8-percent-most-in-39-years\/","title":{"rendered":"#Prices spike 6.8 percent, most in 39 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Prices spike 6.8 percent, most in 39 years<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Prices spiked a whopping 6.8 percent in November, compared with the same time last year \u2014 the fastest acceleration of inflation the country has seen in 39 years, the feds announced Friday. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the highest year-over-year reading of the Labor Department\u2019s Consumer Price Index, which measures a basket of goods and services as well as energy and food costs, since 1982, when the country saw surging inflation that sparked year-over-year spikes as high as more than 14 percent.<\/p>\n<p>That means inflation is now accelerating at the highest pace many Americans have ever seen in their lifetimes.<\/p>\n<p>November\u2019s 6.8 percent spike from the same time last year is up from October\u2019s hotter-than-expected 6.2 percent jump.<\/p>\n<p>The index rose 0.8 percent from October to November, the feds added.<\/p>\n<p>Economists surveyed by Dow Jones expected a 6.7 percent year-over-year spike in November and a monthly increase of 0.7 percent.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"692\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/12\/us-inflation-13.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"December marks the sixth straight month of inflation surges under President Biden.
