Threader was one of the bots that presented these threads in a simple article-like format.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/12\/7\/22822184\/twitter-quill-messaging-platform-dms-slack\">Quill<\/a>:<\/strong> A Slack competitor for more focused conversations, with the ability to spin off threads into a separate chat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_are_these_acquisitions_shaping_Twitter\"><\/span><span>How are these acquisitions shaping Twitter?<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This year one of the prominent Twitter products that surfaced is Spaces \u2014 its Clubhouse competitor for live audio. After launching it in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/news\/twitter-launches-its-voice-based-spaces-social-networking-feature-into-beta-testing\">the test phase last year<\/a>, the company slowly opened it up for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Spaces has introduced features such as adding topics to the session, hosting ticketed sessions, and most recently, allowing users to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/12\/7\/22822078\/twitter-spaces-recorded-ios-android-web\">record sessions for later listening<\/a>. This comes after Clubhouse rolled out its own Replay feature in October. The Breaker team m<span>ight have played a part in building some<\/span>\u00a0of these functions.<\/p>\n<p>While operating independently, Revue has tried to integrate its features into Twitter. In October, it announced users can directly subscribe to newsletters from tweets on their timeline. Plus, you can show your newsletter directly on your profile, making it easier for readers to subscribe to it.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Substack hit <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/ee71edee-eae7-46e2-99e1-61af23ce56e2\">1 million paid subscribers<\/a>.
