The government has officially bought 500 BTC and is distributing them to all residents of the country. The future has come today!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The post also included a link that urged unwary investors to sign up and claim their share of BTC. However, this was the second time Modi\u2019s Twitter account got hacked and was used for crypto scams.<\/p>\n<p>Soon after the hack, the unauthorized tweet was deleted and the hack was confirmed by the Prime Minister\u2019s official account.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Twitter handle of PM <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/narendramodi?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@narendramodi<\/a> was very briefly compromised. The matter was escalated to Twitter and the account has been immediately secured.<\/p>\n<p>In the brief period that the account was compromised, any Tweet shared must be ignored.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PMO India (@PMOIndia) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PMOIndia\/status\/1469786236990607361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 11, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>As Cointelegraph reported, hackers were able to breach Modi\u2019s Twitter account back in Sept. 2020. Under the pseudo name \u2018John Wick,\u2019 the hackers shared several tweets asking the prime minister\u2019s followers to \u201cdonate generously to PM National Relief Fund for Covid-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: <\/strong><strong><em>India misinterpreted private crypto ban, says crypto bill creator<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The launch of India\u2019s crypto bill sparked new concerns around the ban of private cryptocurrencies. While the meaning of \u2018private\u2019 was yet to be interpreted in the parliamentary meeting, the lack of information sparked panic among investors. <\/p>\n<p>Clearing out the speculations around the crypto bill discussions, former Finance Secretary Subhash Garg, who was also the creator of the bill, dismissed the notion of banning \u201cprivate cryptocurrencies\u201d as a misinterpretation. In an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.news18.com\/news\/business\/crypto-bill-description-on-banning-private-crypto-was-a-mistake-ex-fin-secy-who-drafted-bill-4500380.html\">interview<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> 18, Garg said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c[The description of the crypto bill] was perhaps a mistake.
