The CW<\/a> may be adding new masked fighters to its lineup.<\/p>\n

The network has announced that Gotham Knights<\/em>, a drama series, is in development. It is based on Gotham Knights characters from the DC comics created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.<\/p>\n

Gotham Knights<\/em> is not a spinoff of Batwoman<\/em><\/a> (which is part of the CW\u2019s Arrowverse<\/a> along with The Flash<\/em><\/a>, DC\u2019s Legends of Tomorrow<\/em><\/a>, Superman & Lois<\/em><\/a>, and the already-ended Arrow<\/em><\/a>, Supergirl<\/em><\/a>, and Black Lightning<\/em><\/a>), nor is it based on the upcoming release from Warner Bros. Game<\/a>s.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the wake of Bruce Wayne\u2019s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman\u2019s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader,\u201d reads the logline. \u201cAnd as the city\u2019s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it\u2019s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux are writers and executive producers. (Both served in the same capacity on The Vampire Diaries<\/em><\/a> and Batwoman<\/em> and as co-executive producers and writers on Gotham<\/em><\/a>.) Natalie Abrams, who has written for Batwoman<\/em>, Supergirl<\/em>, and All American<\/em><\/a>, is writer and co-executive producer. Also serving as EPs are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden. Gotham Knights<\/em> is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
