\nRaekwon has confirmed his Wu-Tang Clan brethren\u00a0Ghostface Killah used to casually date\u00a0Aaliyah. The legendary rapp<\/a>er recently sat down for an interview with VladTV<\/em>, where he was asked by the host to elaborate on how the pair got together.<\/p>\n

After paying respects to the late R&B star, Raekwon reflected on a time he\u2019d walked in on Ghostface Killah and Aaliyah taking a nap together as Ghostface tried to play it off like they were merely getting some rest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember we had a mansion in L.A. and you know, I used to talk to Ghost a lot about like, \u2018Word you bagged that?\u2026 Bring her to the lab, you know, bring some friends over whatever the case may be,\u201d Raekwon said. \u201cAnd one day, I guess I took a nap that day and I was walking through the crib, next thing you know I see him and Aaliyah asleep in a chair.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wake him up, I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, wassup? What\u2019s going on?\u2019 He was like, \u2018Nah I\u2019m just catching some rest you know.\u2019 I was just laughing. I\u2019m like, \u2018You a wild cat.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Raekwon said he used to talk with Ghostface Killah a lot about the relationship but knew it was nothing serious.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe respected Aaliyah,\u201d he said. \u201cHe really liked her and it could have been just some friendship thing, but you know like I said we liked Aaliyah\u2019s music, we liked what she was doing, and yeah I think they had a little crush thing going on. A little baby crush going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raekwon released his memoir From Staircase To Stage<\/em> in November and it touched lightly on the subject of Ghostface Killah and Aaliyah. The rap star talked about the book in an interview with HipHopDX<\/em>,<\/em> as well as the status of his highly anticipated\u00a0Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. III.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, I\u2019m going to give you another project before we actually give you the\u00a0III,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he told DX<\/em> Senior Writer Kyle Eustice. \u201cBecause the\u00a0III<\/em>, we\u2019re still curating that to make it strong. But being that time is really moving, I already have something else on deck that\u2019s going to open up the vessel for\u00a0Cuban Linx III<\/em>\u00a0to come out down the line.
