She has been on network TV at CBS, ABC\/ESPN and NBC for nearly three decades.<\/p>\n<p>NBC declined comment, while Tafoya could not be im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely reached.<\/p>\n<p>In recent days, Tafoya, 56, has been in the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> because she has missed three <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s, which NBC describes as \u201cbye weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/2021\/12\/13\/michele-tafoya-the-view-absent-sunday-night-football\/?_ga=2.264931527.952901313.1639423528-1355623790.1621276672\">was on ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d in early November,<\/a> where she made headlines when she compared COVID to the flu, saying the \u201cflu kills people.\u201d She also countered the idea that Colin Kapernick was not on an NFL roster because of kneeling for the anthem.<\/p>\n<p>After \u201cThe View,\u201d she went on to work the sidelines for the rest of that month until taking off after Thanksgiving and the past two Sundays.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/12\/michele-tafoya-sunday-night-football-off.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"NBC Sports reporter Michele Tafoya is seen before an NFL football game\" class=\"wp-image-20490961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/12\/michele-tafoya-sunday-night-football-off.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/12\/michele-tafoya-sunday-night-football-off.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/12\/michele-tafoya-sunday-night-football-off.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Michele Tafoya<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AP Photo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The three games that Tafoya has taken off were not coincidentally bad-weather sites of Baltimore, Seattle and Green Bay. She will also miss Jan. 2 in Green Bay. While SNF is only 18-plus weeks, it has allowed her to be at home on these weekends.<\/p>\n<p>NBC has not decided on Tafoya\u2019s replacement, but Kathryn T<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en is the clear leading candidate. Tappen has been on the sideline when Tafoya has been off.<\/p>\n<p>Next year, Mike Tirico is expected to take over for Al Michaels as the lead play-by-player with analyst Cris Collinsworth for \u201cSunday Night Football.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>        <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Podcast\" width=\"100%\" height=\"188px\" src=\"https:\/\/embed.acast.com\/the-marchand-and-ourand-sports-media-podcast\/episode10-featuringinterviewwithstevebornstein?accentColor=2a2a2a&amp;bgColor=f6f6f6&amp;font-family=proxima%20nova&amp;logo=false&amp;secondaryColor=cc3333\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden;\"><br \/>\n        <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Michaels is the leading candidate to be the voice of \u201cThursday Night Football\u201d when Amazon takes over the exclusive rights next year.
