While some artists might opt to pick up a pen when it comes to their rhymes, Thugger explained to<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/i-d.vice.com\/en_uk\/article\/g5qqj4\/young-thug-interview\"><em> i-D<\/em> magazine<\/a> that he\u2019s never written a lyric on paper in his life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never written a\u00a0lyric. Ever,\u201d he said. \u201cI really haven\u2019t. I kind of just freestyle. I just go with it as it comes. I never\u00a0really wrote anything\u00a0down. However, Thugger did reveal that he\u2019d consider putting pen to paper when it comes to songwriting if he ends up in jail again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly time I\u2019ve had\u00a0the time to write lyrics down is when I\u2019ve been\u00a0incarcerated,\u201d he said. \u201cEven if I\u00a0just have to go to jail\u00a0for a day or something.\u00a0I don\u2019t like writing and that\u2019s the only way I can write; if I just got time on my hands and there\u2019s nothing in\u00a0the world I could do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although, if he had to choose just one of his lyrics, the 30-year-old went with \u201cTrying to\u00a0kill these bastards like\u00a0family don\u2019t matter\u201d off his 2017\u00a0<em>Beautiful Thugger Girls<\/em>\u00a0song \u201cFamily Don\u2019t Matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe because of how important family is to\u00a0me,\u201d Young Thug continued. \u201cYou know?
