\n One shooting was reported in the Big App<\/a>le on Thursday \u2014 a break from the uptick in gunplay the city has seen in recent weeks, according to cops.<\/p>\n

A 41-year-old man was shot in the forearm on Vernon Avenue near Lewis Avenue in Bedford Stuyvesant by another man around 12:20 p.m., police said.<\/p>\n

He was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries \u2014 and the gunman fled on foot.<\/p>\n

On that day last year \u2014 two people were shot in the city, one of them fatally.<\/p>\n

Cops initially tallied a 57-year-old man among Thursday\u2019s shooting victims, because he walked into Harlem Hospital around 1:30 a.m. that day.<\/p>\n

But it turns out he was blasted once in the right leg by a drive-by shooter around 11 p.m. Wednesday at West 129th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, cops said.<\/p>\n

That brings the total number of shootings Wednesday to four.<\/p>\n

Friday morning, an 18-year-old man was shot in the stomach at North Elliott Place and Park Avenue, near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, around 1:10 a.m. Cops describe him as \u201chighly uncooperative.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NYPD has recorded a roughly 70-percent spike in gunplay across the city this year.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
