{"id":382791,"date":"2021-12-18T01:35:58","date_gmt":"2021-12-17T22:35:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/ex-male-model-on-alleged-sexual-assault-from-photographers\/"},"modified":"2021-12-18T01:35:58","modified_gmt":"2021-12-17T22:35:58","slug":"ex-male-model-on-alleged-sexual-assault-from-photographers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/ex-male-model-on-alleged-sexual-assault-from-photographers\/","title":{"rendered":"#Ex-male model on alleged sexual assault from photographers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Ex-male model on alleged sexual assault from photographers<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Former male model <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/barrettpall\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=d1c6c447-5cf4-4899-9610-5b4a17743fba\">Barrett Pall<\/a> began his fashion career while studying as an undergraduate at New York University.<\/p>\n<p>Pall, now 33,\u00a0is opening up about the alleged sexual abuse he received from photographers behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p>He recently detailed his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CLx0Li7hDLa\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=embed_video_watch_again\">experiences<\/a>, telling <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/lifestyle\/former-male-model-speaks-out-sexual-abuse-photographers-184259997.html\">Yahoo Life<\/a> that he first thought the fashion industry would be glamorous.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn reality, that\u2019s not what it is at all,\u201d Pall claimed to the outlet. \u201cI\u2019ve been very open and honest that on my very first photo shoot, I was sexually assaulted by the photographer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He first described his hellish encounters in a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iOnBu8e_Hf0\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0video and then to<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.advocate.com\/people\/2018\/7\/19\/exclusive-male-models-accuse-photographer-rick-day-sexual-assault\">\u00a0Advocate<\/a>\u00a0in 2018. Pall said he has used the last few years to encourage male models to speak out and expose sexual predators. \u201cI know that this is not an uncommon situation for most models,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that on his first photo shoot, he realized that his financial hardships and lack of modeling experience made him a major target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grew up in a difficult situation in terms of my family life. Resources and funds were not plentiful. We were poor. There was no consenting, there was no asking, there was no \u2018Are you OK with this?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After his shoots, Pall would go to his dorm room and sob as he felt shame. \u201cI got back to my dorm room and just cried and felt really dark and confused. To be honest, it\u2019s something that I still don\u2019t like to go back to because something was taken from me and there are pictures.
