Reports have confirmed\u00a0out of Japan within the last few\u00a0hours that stage and voice actress Kanda Sayaka<\/strong> has passed away at the age of 35. According to the local authorities in Chuo-ku, Sapp<\/a>oro, she was found unconscious in\u00a0a patio area\u00a0on the fourteenth floor of a hotel at 12:55 PM on Saturday January 18th JST,\u00a0then taken to a local hospital where after a few hours of being reported in critical condition, was pronounced deceased\u00a0at 9:40 PM JST.\u00a0Her official website has\u00a0confirmed her passing since initial reports earlier today. Sayaka was\u00a0in the area to perform<\/a> in the local touring\u00a0production of stage\u00a0musical\u00a0My Fair\u00a0Lady<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kanda Sayaka rose to prominence for playing the role of Sora <\/strong>in Kamen Rider Den-O<\/strong>,\u00a0performing the\u00a0voice of\u00a0Anna <\/strong>in the Japanese dub of Disney’s Frozen<\/strong>, while she was best known to anime<\/a> fans for performing the role of Yuna <\/strong>in two\u00a0SAO anime adaptations\u00a0as well as more recent productiuons such as Idoly Pride and Space Battleship Yamato\u00a02202.<\/p>\n

She was also celebrated by the fervent Danganronpa fandom for her\u00a0voice acting and singing performances\u00a0in\u00a0Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School: Future Arc<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0in-game<\/a> role of Kaede Akamatsu<\/strong>\u00a0as a part of the game’s main cast.
