The Carringtons make a special app<\/a>earance on Monday night as they head into Dynasty<\/em> Season 5. Back-to-back episodes pick up from October\u2019s shocking finale, when media<\/a> mogul Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies, right) was gunned down by her evil assistant, Eva (Kara Royster). Now it\u2019s touch and go at the hospital as Carrington patriarch Blake (Grant Show) waits by his daughter\u2019s bedside.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe get some great moments where he talks about how proud he is of her and how he can\u2019t lose her,\u201d says showrunner Josh Reims. \u201cIt\u2019s a vulnerable side of Blake that we never really see.\u201d That cliffhanger and the plot by jealous brother-in-law Beto (Geovanni Gopradi) to assassinate Blake will soon be wrapped up \u201cin one way or another,\u201d Reims promises.<\/p>\n

In the Christmassy second hour, \u201cwe do things we don\u2019t normally do,\u201d Reims notes, but there\u2019s still drama. Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) is set to spend the holidays behind bars, accused of pushing the doctor blackmailing her son, Adam (Sam Underwood), from her penthouse to his death.<\/p>\n

After tonight, the soap goes on hiatus until March, which is when \u201cwe find out what actually<\/i> happened on [Alexis\u2019] balcony,\u201d Reims says. Until then, looks like orange is the new black for blondie!<\/p>\n
