Henderson at The Wall Street Journal is \u201coptimistic about the future of education\u201d in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>. When the pandemic ends, \u201cmany parents, perhaps millions, will have a new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciation of how mediocre a job the public schools were doing.\u201d Those schools are \u201cdominant\u201d only because a family \u201cgets no tax break, no rebate\u201d if it educates a child privately. With \u201cpublic schools\u2019 shift to online instruction,\u201d though, many parents will realize \u201chome-schooling works, on average, better,\u201d while others will \u201cpush for an expansion of charter schools,\u201d which \u201ctend to be responsive to parents and can more easily fire poor teachers.\u201d So: \u201cGet ready. A school renaissance is coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: Where Is the Freedom of Yesteryear?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerica\u2019s cultural revolution\u201d is using \u201cfear to sweep through our civic, corporate and personal life\u201d \u2014 and now, the Chicago Tribune\u2019s John Kass thunders, it\u2019s \u201ccoming for me.\u201d The Tribune\u2019s union falsely accused him of \u201creligious bigotry and fomenting conspiracy theories\u201d over a July 22 column that factually reported \u201cleft-wing billionaire\u201d George Soros\u2019 donations to \u201csoft-on-crime prosecutors,\u201d without any mention of \u201cSoros\u2019 ethnicity or religion.\u201d Kass\u2019 response: \u201cI will not apologize for writing about Soros,\u201d \u201cI will not bow to those who\u2019ve wrongly defamed me\u201d and \u201cI will continue writing my column.\u201d The larger question, though, \u201cis not about me\u201d but rather \u201cAmerica and its young.\u201d Do we want to pass on a culture in which \u201cour American tradition of freely speaking our minds\u201d is \u201cswept away\u201d?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monetary desk: Biden\u2019s Plans for the Fed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden wants to change the way the Federal Reserve is governed,\u201d reports Bloomberg Opinion\u2019s Ramesh Ponnuru. In a recent speech, Biden said the Fed should \u201caggressively target persistent racial gaps in jobs, wages and wealth.\u201d The problem? \u201cThere\u2019s no conceivable monetary policy that would set the differential between black and white rates of asset ownership at zero.\u201d Yes, \u201cmonetary policy has an influence on racial gaps,\u201d and mistakes the Fed made in 2008 \u2014 \u201csignaling tighter money ahead as the economy weakened and starting to pay interest to banks on their excess reserves\u201d \u2014 worsened the Great Recession, which \u201cmade the wealth gap worse.\u201d But the Fed\u2019s mission is to stabilize \u201cthe business cycle as much as possible,\u201d and we wouldn\u2019t want to change that \u201cto reduce racial gaps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Herman Cain: A Truly American Dreamer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The late businessman Herman Cain \u201cwas a constant rocket ship powered by optimism, confidence and determination,\u201d marvels Fox Business\u2019 Charles Payne. \u201cHis orbit was the American Dream.\u201d Payne \u201cwanted to be a businessman from a young age\u201d but \u201cdreams need reinforcement.\u201d He found his inspiration in Cain, whose career as owner of Godfather\u2019s Pizza, Cain once said, \u201cdemonstrates that blacks can make it in mainstream corporate America.\u201d In Payne\u2019s \u201cgreatest moments of doubt,\u201d Cain \u201ccame into my orbit and lifted me like a rocket.\u201d While he rose \u201cto superstardom outside of business,\u201d at one point the favorite to win the 2012 Republican nomination, \u201cCain was always accessible and never changed.\u201d That\u2019s in fact why \u201che was propelled into the national limelight as someone that could do for the nation what he once did for an ailing pizza chain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture critic: A Brave Not-So-New World<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aldous Huxley\u2019s \u201ccerebral\u201d 1932 novel \u201cBrave New World\u201d \u201clends itself poorly to the screen,\u201d observes Francis X. Maier at First Things, but NBCUniversal\u2019s new Peacock channel has tried.
