All eleven filmmakers used the same unifying framework in creating their stories. The filmmakers were tasked with how to stay creative using only what was available to them at the time. They were not allowed to use Zoom or any other video conferencing services and were only allowed to use the equipment and resources they had with them when they entered into lockdown, including cast and crew, adhering to their respective COVID-19 protocols.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>REVIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The segments are directed by: Alix Austin, Adam R. Brown, Larry Fessenden, Dennie Gordon, Andrew Kasch, Kyle I. Kelley, Alexandra Neary, Christian Pasquariello, Zach Passero, Bobby Roe, Keir Siewert.<\/p>\n<p>Written by: Zack Andrews, Adam R. Brown, Larry Fessenden, Cody Goodfellow, Dennie Gordon, Kyle I. Kelley, Alexandra Neary, Christian Pasquariello, Zach Passero, Bobby Roe, and Keir Siewert.<span id=\"more-170850\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Nine tales of terror. I love this, I love anthologies and a beautifully executed film intertwined with each scary tale becoming more terrifying.<\/p>\n<p>The film opens with what could be a virus, it always reminds me of mycelium and how it sort of branches off, yet it\u2019s still together, working and intermingling within a colony.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171052\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-6.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-6-310x180.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-6-100x58.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>ISOLATION delivers a stark message about a virus that spreads around the globe. It hits supply chains and food shortages. The world is on lockdown, wait a minute, is this a documentary? My soul feels defeated. The virus grows stronger, just as we seem to have a \u201cnew variant\u201d delivered every couple of months.<\/p>\n<p>People are living in fear, they are scared, unsure. This is a movie that legit punches you right in the face. No apologies, just POW, \u201cfloat like a butterfly, sting like a bee\u201d cause the writers of Isolation are going to knock you out!<\/p>\n<p>(I may or many not have had a glass of wine, drink responsibly and don\u2019t drink and drive.)<\/p>\n<p>The first segment starts off in New York. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever heard New York so silent yet also so clear. The sounds still float around but not as loud to some. Larry Fessenden stars in the first segment, \u201cFever.\u201d He leaves the city with Sam and Karen. Larry\u2019s character is sick and he is telling the story of COVID hitting New York hard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171053\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-5.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-5-310x158.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-5-100x51.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The slow-motion shots is so accurate of how everything felt. It was as if everyday people just sort of did what they had to do, and did what they had to do to survive. You may have been able to work from home and to the health care workers, THANK YOU over and over, and over.<\/p>\n<p>Larry\u2019s character is losing his shit. He\u2019s at the point where he is \u201ctrying to protect\u201d his family. It may be a dream or a hallucination but so far, it\u2019s one hell of a story.<\/p>\n<p>I do want to say one thing, I think it should never take a tragedy for people to help one another. The virus continues to the next segment in San Diego, we meet Chad (Graham Denman).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171054\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-4.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-4-310x140.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-4-100x45.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t like watching people walk barefoot, I know, I know, oh gosh, that\u2019s so weird. I always think they\u2019re going to step on something wild.<\/p>\n<p>This is a powerful segment, I feel this is leaning towards more than conspiracy theory, there are people who want answers, they have questions that they won\u2019t get answered. Okay, so Chad (Graham Denman) has an ankle bracelet on and he\u2019s on house arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Chad wants his ankle bracelet off and he takes some drastic measures to get the ankle bracelet off. The conspiracy theories are like, WHOA! Chad asks the questions that so many other people ask. This segment is called, \u201c5G,\u201d I can\u2019t take it. It\u2019s wild.<\/p>\n<p>Damien Gerard is the voice of Chad\u2019s ankle bracelet.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, the virus takes us to Los Angeles, the City of Angels. A man laying in bed, a woman sitting at the edge of the bed, and a cat.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine eleven filmmakers just creating this incredible process of piecing together these stories that fit so well. This segment is psychological. This woman is dealing with death, someone in her home or in her imagination? It takes your breath away.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171055\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-3.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-3-310x145.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-3-100x47.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Another tale to frighten the mind takes place in Seattle. This segment is called, \u201cPacific Northwest.\u201d A family trying to make it. It\u2019s wild because some of this is h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening or has happened already. This segment is making me nervous.<\/p>\n<p>So far all of these are beautifully shot. The cinematography is excellent. I\u2019m not a filmmaker, what do I know? I do know that everything is clear and you get the gist of what kind of tormenting terror they are trying to put out there.<\/p>\n<p>This segment sort of plays a bit into a slasher meets pandemic survival film. (Screaming at the laptop never works.)<\/p>\n<p>Next segment, we have a man microwaving what looks like meat?! I recommend watching ISOLATION. I am trying not to give away too many spoilers because I do think people should watch the film.<\/p>\n<p>This segment is called, \u201cMeat Hands.\u201d I\u2019m not sure what\u2019s happening here? Is this comfort? Did I miss a new trend? Is he a cannibal? Okay, maybe not. This is sad, I feel so many people have been through so much.<\/p>\n<p>The story moves to London. Paige (Alix Austin) is trying to piece together everything that is happening all around the world. Alix is making a video and she says she feels a presence, an unnatural presence. This segment is called, \u201cIt\u2019s Inside.\u201d (I\u2019d be HAULING ass and going out of that flat.)<\/p>\n<p>Alix also reveals she has cameras in every single room of her apartment. She also keeps her phone wrapped in aluminum foil. It\u2019s supposed to limit the signal. Each segment fits together and there is another question asked, there is a scarier format.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-171056\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-2.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-2-310x183.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Isolation-2021-MOVIE-2-100x59.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The music makes it more terrifying; this reminds me of the movie, <em>BUG <\/em>(2006) with Michael Shannon. NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! The teeth scene, NOPE! Whoever created all that, you are amazing but NOPE!<\/p>\n<p>I sort of would like to see some of these as feature-films. The next one takes us to El Paso. The psychological toll has been horrific. Please talk to someone if you need to.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, now they take us to Miami. It has everything, conspiracy theories, new mutations of the virus, the impact of what is happening, the psychological torment. This segment is called, \u201cHomebodies.\u201d Ryan (Alex Weed) is sent out to investigate something for <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>. His boss wants more news than just empty streets.<\/p>\n<p>I have a feeling this is going to get insane. Nothing yet, do I sense a jump scare?!<\/p>\n<p>ISOLATION is a great scary film to watch with friends, safely of course.
