However, the company Vivaldi <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/vivaldi.com\/press\/embargoed\/vivaldi-the-first-browser-for-android-automotive-os-now-in-polestar-2\/\">just released<\/a> the first native Android Auto web browser for Polestar vehicles, and it\u2019s not as dangerous as it sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Vivaldi states that this is\u00a0the first browser available for the Android Auto OS and one of the first full-featured browsers available in cars. It\u2019s worth noting that this is only available for the Polestar 2 EV, with the company planning to bring it to more Polestar vehicles in the future.<\/p>\n<p>We know what you\u2019re all thinking. Being able to browse the web, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>, and Reddit while you drive or are stuck in traffic doesn\u2019t sound too safe. And don\u2019t worry, you can\u2019t do that. Streaming content will switch to audio-only if you leave park and start driving. Files cannot be <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download<\/a>ed, and several other safety restrictions may apply.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Privacy:<\/strong> Private browsing data is not stored by the car. When logged into a Vivaldi account, browsing data may be shared between other devices logged into the same account. This data is not shared with Polestar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features:<\/strong> Tabbed browsing, video streaming,\u00a0ad blocker, translation tools, notes function, tracking protection, and encrypted sync functionality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u201cWe are really proud to introduce our browser to a car for the first time and specifically with a brand like Polestar. That said, if a video is playing, it\u2019ll switch to audio-only mode so drivers can continue enjoying content, all without being distracted by a video. The company didn\u2019t explain any other potential safety features or restrictions it may have in place.<\/p>\n<p>Vivaldi already offers a powerful web browser for Android devices, one which you can get from the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.vivaldi.browser&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Google Play Store<\/a>. However, today\u2019s announcement has that same browser being expanded to the ever-growing list of vehicles running Android Auto.<\/p>\n<p>The Vivaldi Android Auto web browser for Polestar 2 is available now in all European, North American, and Asia Pacific markets. Owners can find it on the Google Play Store inside their car.
