Kingpin in action on\u00a0<em>Hawkeye,\u00a0<\/em>it\u2019s time for a very important question. Is this actually the same version of the character that we saw through multiple seasons of\u00a0<em>Daredevil?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Typically, the answer to this question would be 100% a no-brainer. Typically, everything within the larger MCU tends to blend together. However, we\u2019ve seen most of the Marvel \u2013 Netflix shows pushed to the side, really to the point that you had to wonder whether or not they\u2019d be fully acknowledged again. Luckily, that is starting to change with Charlie Cox potentially going to be more involved moving forward as Daredevil \u2014 and speaking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2021\/12\/23\/hawkeye-vincent-donofrio-kingpin-episode-6-finale-daredevil\/\">TVLine<\/a>, Vincent D\u2019Onofrio himself confirmed that he was under the impression the\u00a0<em>Hawkeye\u00a0<\/em>Fisk is the same one we saw on his previous show, albeit with a few tweaks:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cObviously, in the show, he\u2019s physically stronger and can take more physical abuse. But emotionally, and as far as the history that was discussed about what\u2019s been going on, was done with connecting as many dots from\u00a0<em>Daredevil<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0<em>Hawkeye<\/em> as possible \u2026 There are obviously things that we can\u2019t connect \u2014 for instance, he\u2019s stronger \u2014 but as far as how I played him and the history that I carry myself from and into <em>Hawkeye<\/em>, he is the same guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We think that in the end, it\u2019s easy to overlook a couple of things like his strength; technically, moving forward they could write something in to even explain that! The character\u2019s future is still unclear, given that he seemingly was shot by Maya in the\u00a0<em>Hawkeye\u00a0<\/em>finale. Yet, we wouldn\u2019t be shocked if he turned up over in the\u00a0<em>Echo\u00a0<\/em>spin-off in development, or in some sort of feature involving Spider-Man or Daredevil. There\u2019s also a history with The Punisher, as well, if Marvel does more with that character.
