“#The Batman to Start Streaming on HBO Max After 45-Day Theatrical Window<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n If you want to watch The Batman<\/em> at home, just wait another 45 days after it premieres. Set to arrive in theaters on March 4, 2022, The Batman<\/em> is one of Warner Bros.’ most anticipated upcoming releases. While the studio’s biggest features this year were given day-and-date releases in 2021, the plan is to use 45-day windows for their new films in the new year, which will keep The Batman<\/em> and other movies<\/a> playing on the big screen exclusively for about a month and a half.

\n The streaming release date of The Batman<\/em> has now been officially confirmed by WarnerMedia<\/a> CEO Jason Kilar. He states that the film will show up on HBO Max on the 46th day after its premiere in theaters. The 45-day window is also something that will be app<\/a>lied to all of their big releases for 2022 with the state of the industry continuing to rapidly change. Here’s what Kilar had to say about The Batman<\/em>‘s release date, per ComicBook.com<\/a>.

\n“Think about when movies would show up on HBO, which is eight to nine months after theatrical premiere. The Batman<\/em> is going to show up on day 46 on HBO Max. That is a huge change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016… I feel really, really good knowing that The Batman<\/em>, and Black Adam<\/em>, and The Flash<\/em>, and Elvis<\/em>, and a whole host of other movies, are literally going to be showing up on day 46 on HBO Max in a variety of territories all over the world. That is a very, very big change that I don’t think people appreciate, and I feel really good about it.” <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n


\n The Batman<\/em> is directed by Matt Reeves and is co-written by Reeves and Peter Craig. Set in a standalone universe, it brings in Robert Pattinson to play a new incarnation of Bruce Wayne. The film also stars Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, and Andy Serkis. There are early plans to develop sequels, as there are hopes to launch a new franchise with The Batman<\/em>. At least two spinoff shows at HBO Max are also in the works. <\/p>\n

The official synopsis for The Batman<\/em> reads: “Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies -Alfred Pennyworth (Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Wright)-amongst the city\u2019s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

\n When a killer targets Gotham\u2019s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World\u2019s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle\/aka Catwoman (Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot\/aka the Penguin (Farrell), Carmine Falcone (Turturro), and Edward Nashton\/aka the Riddler (Dano). The Batman<\/em> will premiere in movie theaters on March 4, 2022. With its 45-day window keeping it exclusive to theaters, the film starts streaming on HBO Max on April 19, 2022.
