Ricardo Salinas Pliego recommended moving away from fiat money and buying Bitcoin in a two-minute festive video.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He gives three pieces of advice to his 957,200 followers on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> as part of his Christmas and New Year message before asking his followers to retweet and share:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSteer clear of fiat money. Whether it\u2019s the Dollar, the Euro, or the Yen \u2013it\u2019s all the same. It\u2019s fake money made of paper lies. Central banks are producing more than ever.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He pauses before pointing to the camera to say, \u201cInvest in Bitcoin!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In front of a golden Christmas tree, the other two \u201cpresents\u201d of advice Salinas left his followers were to let go of jealousy and to believe in oneself, particularly when pursuing freedom and innovation. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no surprise that Salinas promotes investing in BTC. As a prominent Bitcoin evangelist since 2013, his Twitter <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RicardoBSalinas\">bio<\/a> describes himself simply as a \u201cMexican businessman and Bitcoin holder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Salinas aims to make Mexico\u2019s second-largest retail bank, Banco Azteca, the first lender in the country to do <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jonathanponciano\/2021\/06\/27\/fiat-is-fraud-mexican-billionaire-pushes-to-make-his-bank-mexicos-first-to-accept-bitcoin-in-overnight-tweetstorm\/\">business<\/a> in BTC. In September this year, Alejandro D\u00edaz de Le\u00f3n, governor of the Bank of Mexico,\u00a0dismissed BTC as a reliable legal tender, citing price volatility as a major roadblock toward full-fledged adoption.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>&#8216;Absolutely right&#8217; to think of Bitcoin as the new gold \u2014 Mexico&#8217;s 3rd richest man<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unlikely to deter Salinas.
