a vehicle identification number ending in 001, rolled off the assembly line in Detroit on Dec. 17. \u201cCustomer deliveries will now begin,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Motors<br \/>\n        GM,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205226835\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.48%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       says.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"An_EV_named_for_a_gas_guzzler\"><\/span><strong>An EV named for a gas guzzler<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> The Hummer EV seems like an odd electric flag-bearer, but it will lead a parade of new electric vehicles from GM over the next few years. It sports the same name as a lineup of famously huge, heavy gasoline-powered off-roaders GM shut down more than a decade ago.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       But this time, the Hummer is an emissions-free off-roader sold under the GMC name. It features nimble 4-wheel steering and an \u201cextract mode\u201d that lets its adaptive air suspension increase ground clearance by up to 8 inches at the touch of a button.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See<\/strong>: The 11 best features of the Hummer EV\u00a0<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Loaded_first_edition_models\"><\/span><strong>Loaded first edition models<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>The first Hummers built are a limited Edition 1 model. It uses three electric motors, good for a total of 1,000 horsepower. GMC says it has a range of 329 miles, but you won\u2019t find that number listed on the EPA website. Because the Hummer is classified as a heavy-duty truck \u2013 with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,400 pounds \u2013 it falls outside EPA testing requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also on MarketWatch:<\/strong> This tax maneuver is one big reason that some real estate investors have struck it rich over the years<\/p>\n<p>Edition 1 costs $108,700 (plus a $1,595 destination fee) and features GM\u2019s Super Cruise hands-free driving system, big 35-inch all-terrain tires, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and a 13.4-inch central touchscreen. GMC quickly sold out of the Edition 1 model.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Other_versions_to_follow\"><\/span><strong>Other versions to follow<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>GMC has begun taking reservations for other models, which range in price from about $80,000 to roughly $100,000. GMC has kept some details about those models close to its vest. The press doesn\u2019t even know the horsepower and range figures for several upcoming models that use two motors rather than three.<\/p>\n<p>The Hummer EV <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears first as a pickup.\u00a0An SUV version\u00a0will follow.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_launch_of_a_new_platform\"><\/span><strong>The launch of a new platform<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>They\u2019re the first vehicles built on a new architecture GM calls Ultium. It uses a chassis that can be scaled up or down to produce vehicles of many sizes. Its battery sits beneath the vehicle\u2019s floor. Many of those vehicles will use the Ultium platform.\u00a0Cadillac\u2019s upcoming Lyriq luxury\u00a0SUV is next on the list.
