Ian Book\u2019s favorite fan, girlfriend Kendall Moore, was especially excited to watch the Saints quarterback make his NFL debut on Monday night. Unfortunately, the outing was anything but memorable.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Monday\u2019s game<\/a> against the Dolphins, Moore took to Instagram, where she posted a video of herself modeling Book\u2019s jersey. She then captured the moment she entered the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans before the 23-year-old rookie lined up under center.<\/p>\n

The Notre Dame product\u2019s big night wasn\u2019t exactly one for the books, as he completed 12 of 20 passes for 135 yards with two interceptions and zero touchdowns. The Saints dropped to 7-8 this season after the 20-3 loss, while the Dolphins extended their win streak to seven.<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally I have a lot to get better at,\u201d Book said<\/a> after the game. \u201cExcited to watch the film and get back at the drawing board. We go on the sideline and look at the IPads, there are things in my mind that I already want back. It was good to be out there. I\u2019m evaluating it. It\u2019s bad. We didn\u2019t score a touchdown. We can\u2019t win a game that way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Book started Monday in lieu of quarterbacks Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian, who both tested positive for COVID-19<\/a> last week. First-stringer Jameis Winston is sidelined for the season after suffering a torn ACL in late October.<\/p>\n

New Orleans coach Sean Payton added Monday that he hopes to get some players back ahead of next week\u2019s game against the Panthers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s kind of where we are at, to some degree, a little bit as a league. It seemed like, obviously, a lot went on the last week and a half. I thought that our defense battled. We did some positive things in the kicking game. In fairness to Ian [Book], it\u2019s impossible to evaluate his play. Hopefully, we can get a little help here, get some guys back, and be ready to go next week,\u201d Payton said.<\/p>\n

While it remains to be seen if Book will get the start in Week 17, it\u2019s likely Moore will offer her full support on game day.<\/p>\n

The couple has been dating since at least 2020, according to Instagram posts.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
