data research firm Arcane Research has taken a look at the year that was in its final report for 2021 and offered its predictions for crypto markets going into 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Arcane\u2019s Tuesday \u201cThe Weekly Update\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/60377b34e7791c1277aaae97\/t\/61cb272480430d5cc3337156\/1640703789129\/Weekly+update+-+Arcane+Research+%28Week+51%29+2021+SUMMARY.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">report<\/a>\u00a0focuses on Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) but delves into other major coins,\u00a0decentralized finance\u00a0(DeFi), memecoins,\u00a0nonfungible tokens\u00a0(NFT), derivatives and others. Arcane offered a prediction for what would h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en in 2022 on every topic covered in the report.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CBitcoin_will_outperform_the_S_P_500_in_2022%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cBitcoin will outperform the S&amp;P 500 in 2022\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The report noted that through 2021, Bitcoin has\u00a0outperformed the S&amp;P 500 index. Bitcoin is up 73%, while the S&amp;P 500 is up 28% this year, and Arcane believes Bitcoin will continue this performance next year. The benchmark S&amp;P 500 index compri the 500 biggest companies listed on American stock exchanges.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CXRP_and_Cardano_will_fall_out_of_the_top_10%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cXRP and Cardano will fall out of the top 10\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Arcane noted the tremendous gains on Binance Coin (BNB) this year, peaking at about 1,600% in May and rounding out the year up 1,344%. Based on this and the growth in market capitalization from altcoins such as Solana (SOL) and Terra (LUNA), along with the NFT craze, the analysts are tipping\u00a0XRP\u00a0and Cardano (ADA) will exit the top 10 list.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Alternate_layer_ones_will_continue_to_outperform_ETH\"><\/span>Alternate layer ones will continue to outperform ETH<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>While ETH outperformed BTC this year with a gain of 455% to 73%, other\u00a0layer-one blockchains\u00a0outperformed ETH. Layer one refers to standalone, base-layer blockchains. Terra Luna ends 2021 up 14,823%; Fantom is up 13,549%.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-12\/a20f1710-4521-4ebf-b64c-cea3cce95f64.PNG\" \/><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Traditional_gaming_companies_will_increasingly_add_NFTs\"><\/span>Traditional gaming companies will increasingly add NFTs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This year in crypto can be defined in no small part by the\u00a0massive sales of NFTs, and blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s like Splinterlands and Alien Worlds have around 526,000 daily active users, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dappradar.com\/topic\/games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">DappRadar<\/a>. Arcane predicts that in 2022, traditional gaming brands will branch into the NFT space and capitalize on the burgeoning market.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Even_more_crypto_companies_will_go_public_and_several_will_have_valuations_above_5B\"><\/span>Even more crypto companies will go public, and several will have valuations above $5B<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This year saw\u00a0Coinbase go public\u00a0on April 14, and it currently has a market cap of $72 billion. The five biggest crypto company public listings slated for 2022 are all currently valued at over $1 billion. Arcane believes there will be a number of others valued higher than $5 billion, such as crypto exchange Bullish, which is currently valued at $9 billion.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_ETFs_will_hold_more_than_1M_BTC_by_end_of_2022\"><\/span>Bitcoin ETFs will hold more than 1M BTC by end of 2022<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Several Bitcoin futures exchange-traded funds (ETF) were launched in 2021. Now the United States leads the world in hash rate, followed by Kazakhstan and Russia.
