“#Ice Cube Gets More Public Support Over 'Friday'-Gate From Rapp<\/a>er Problem<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\nFaizon Love opened a giant can of worms during a recent interview with Comedy Hype<\/em> when he revealed he was paid just $2,500 to shoot the 1995 Friday<\/em> film. Co-star Ice Cube became a social media<\/a> target, with many outliers accusing the N.W.A pioneer of \u201crobbing\u201d Love.<\/p>\n

Cube firmly denied the allegation and quickly found support from comedian Michael Blackson who appeared in the 2000 sequel\u00a0Next Friday.\u00a0<\/em>Now, rapper Problem has come to his defense. On Thursday (December 30), Problem posted a series<\/a> of tweets to his Instagram account, praising Ice Cube and DJ Pooh for giving several then-unknown actors a shot.<\/p>\n

\u201ca huge rap star and his dj\/producer took a chance on unknown comedians\/actors and made them stars,\u201d he wrote. \u201cNot once, not twice, but three times. all this trying to devalue what Ice did for black & brown comedians is blasphemy. thank you @ice cube. n-ggas gon n-g.\u201d<\/p>\n
