Scooter Braun may be the only celebrity in her corner right now, but embattled talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is not going down without a fight. She\u2019s also going back to work this month, according to an internal email from the show\u2019s executive producers obtained by the Post.<\/p>\n

Reports of her career death \u2014 stemming from recent scathing stories about the \u201ctoxic,\u201d \u201csexist\u201d and \u201cracist\u201d workplace culture at the \u201cThe Ellen DeGeneres Show\u201d \u2014 have been greatly exaggerated, sources close to the 62-year-old star told the Post Saturday.<\/p>\n

Despite her career collapsing around her, DeGeneres has no intention of walking away from her signature talk show or game<\/a> show. She plans to report to work Aug. 24 for \u201cEllen\u2019s Game of Games\u201d and to the set of the \u201cEllen Show\u201d when it premieres Sept. 9, according to the internal email.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that these last few days have been a lot to take in and process for everyone,\u201d read part of the email which was signed, \u201cLove, the EPs.\u201d<\/p>\n

An insider at the show said, \u201cShe\u2019s fighting to protect the show and what she stands for. She is very upset about what happ<\/a>ened and determined to fix the problems. She takes full responsibility. But no way is she quitting the show. That\u2019s total BS.\u201d<\/p>\n

But DeGeneres is \u201cdevastated\u201d over how Hollywood has turned on her so fast. Celebrities including Brad Garrett and Lea Thompson have called out Ellen for her mean behavior. Some in her circle wonder if it all started with her being seen with former President George W. Bush at a Dallas Cowboys game last October.<\/p>\n

Elton John defended her at the time and Ellen herself spoke about the incident on her show, saying her infamous slogan \u201cbe kind\u201d means showing compassion to everyone.<\/p>\n

But the silence this time from DeGeneres\u2019 vast network of celebrity besties \u2014 everyone from Jennifer Aniston to the Kardashians \u2014 has been deafening since a string of negative stories about her began earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Is there a reason for that?<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone\u2019s scared of the liberal mob,\u201d the source said. \u201cThey found something with Ellen they could latch onto and that drove even more of a pile-on. No one wants to be next.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
