Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday he believes it is \u201cvery likely\u201d that Russia will invade Ukraine as President Biden prepared for another call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the tense standoff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI fear that Putin is very likely to invade. I still, frankly, don\u2019t understand the full motivation for why, why now he\u2019s doing this. But he certainly <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears intent on it unless we can persuade him otherwise,\u201d Schiff (D-Calif.) said on CBS <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>\u2019<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FaceTheNation\/status\/1477706556238184452\"> \u201cFace the Nation.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think nothing other than a level of sanctions that Russia has never seen will deter him, and that\u2019s exactly what we need to do with our allies,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Biden said he warned President Vladimir Putin during their phone call on Thursday that he will be hit with \u201csevere sanctions\u201d if an attack is launched against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI made it clear to President Putin that we will have severe sanctions, we will increase our presence in Europe, with NATO allies,\u201d Biden told reporters last Friday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/biden-phone.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"President Biden on a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on December 9, 2021.
