In his letter, Matsuda begins with a discussion of the metaverse before noting that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>\u2019s renaming to Meta is proof that the concept isn\u2019t a passing fad. He expects 2022 to be a year of hype for the metaverse as society begins to slowly embrace virtual worlds and their ability to connect individuals across geographical boundaries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He thinks that extended reality <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, the growing use of cloud computing and 5G will all lead to the metaverse\u2019s existence. Matsuda points out that 2021 was \u201cyear one\u201d for NFTs and the metaverse, during which there was a lot of wild trading that didn\u2019t always correspond with market speculations.<\/p>\n<p>Investments in blockchain are still rising at a rapid rate, and some of the most adamant in trying to legitimize blockchain technology have been companies from the gaming business. Square Enix initially invested in the metaverse by taking part in a\u00a0$2-million funding\u00a0round\u00a0for The Sandbox, an Ethereum-based metaverse game. Matsuda\u2019s annual letter indicates that the firm is doubling down on several developing technologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related:\u00a0Study: 58% of video game developers are already using blockchain<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Matsuda\u2019s letter <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to be a reaffirmation of Ubisoft\u2019s position that it will remain committed to its\u00a0NFT and blockchain ambitions.
