He performed at the Super Bowl, boycotted the Grammys after his wildly successful album <i>After Hours<\/i> was snubbed, and shared a lot of new music. It was all leading up to <i>Dawn FM<\/i>, the pop star&#8217;s long-promised new project, and on Monday The Weeknd announced that it will be released this Friday. For what it&#8217;s worth, the narrator in the trailer above does sound a lot like Jim Carrey, so his contribution could be limited to that rather than, say, a beat. On Instagram last week, The Weeknd <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CYLMjF8ryLw\/\">wrote<\/a>, \u201cMusic can heal and that feels more important than another album rollout.
