Another promising price prediction has app<\/a>eared for Bitcoin bulls in 2022. Antoni Trenchev, co-founder and managing partner of Nexo said that Bitcoin could hit the $100,000 milestone as soon as the summer in an interview with CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite BTC opening the year with bearish price action, while the fear and greed index<\/a> shows \u201cextreme fear,\u201d the Bulgarian business mogul set the record straight: <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery time that investors and the broader community write off Bitcoin, it outperforms significantly. This has been the case in 2020\u2013when it rallied close to 1,000%, and in 2021 where it rallied 63%. I\u2019m quite bullish on Bitcoin.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While Nexo was forged in the bear market of 2018, Trenchev says that access to \u201ccheap money,\u201d and institutions filling their bags with cryptocurrencies will propel Bitcoin over the $100,000 wall.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of evidence that institutional adoption is brewing. Last month, Fidelity Investments partnered with Nexo to offer crypto custodial services, products and lending services for institutional investors. Yesterday, Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX (which just listed<\/a> NEXO token on his exchange), said that regulatory clarity would \u201chelp a ton on institutional adoption.\u201d <\/p>\n

In a nod to further Bitcoin adoption in developing countries, Trenchev concluded that \u201cLatin America is the poster child\u201d for cryptocurrency use cases. He joked that \u201call of them (countries) could be potential candidates for adopting cryptocurrencies as legal tender.\u201d<\/p>\n
