The fees also act as a barrier to entry for new developers, the commission argued.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>India \u2014 which is also investigating allegations of squalid conditions at iPhone manufacturing facilities in the country \u2014 is now the latest front in what is increasingly a global battle over Apple\u2019s App Store commissions. <\/p>\n<p>Regulators in the European Union are investigating the fees, which are also at the center of anti-monopoly policy conversations in Washington, D.C. and an ongoing legal battle in California between Fortnite maker Epic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s and Apple.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, South Korea recently passed a law requiring both Apple and Google to let developers sidestep the fees by using their own payments systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Apple did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely respond to a request from The Post for comment on the Indian investigation, but <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/india\/exclusive-apple-seeks-dismissal-india-apps-market-antitrust-case-cites-tiny-2021-12-19\/\">Reuters reported<\/a> that the company denied the accusations in a December regulatory filing, arguing that its market share in the country is too small to allow it to abuse power.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/apple-india-antitrust-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Tim Cook Narendra Modi\" class=\"wp-image-20697114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/apple-india-antitrust-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/apple-india-antitrust-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/apple-india-antitrust-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Apple CEO Tim Cook with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>India\u2019s Competition Commission has rejected that argument and ordered its investigations unit to complete a probe into the company and submit a report within 60 days.
