It is amazing to me, Elizabeth, what you\u2019ve been able to do.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s visit came just months before the Wall Street Journal published an expos\u00e9 revealing that Holmes had misled investors and patients about its blood testing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>. The company\u2019s board members included former secretaries of state Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, former defense secretaries James Mattis and William Perry and former Senators Bill Frist and Sam Nunn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other prominent investors who sank millions into Theranos include the Walmart-founding Walton family, the billionaire DeVos family \u2014 which includes Trump administration education secretary Betsy DeVos \u2014 and Rupert Murdoch, who owns the parent company of The Post and The Wall Street Journal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Prior to the Journal expos\u00e9, Holmes was also embraced by the media, gracing the covers of magazines like Fortune, Forbes and Inc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after Biden\u2019s visit, the White House\u2019s YouTube channel posted a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IG-IZa-aTqk\">short video of Holmes<\/a> talking about her work \u201cempowering women in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>, technology, mathematics and business as well as working on breakthroughs in global health.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Holmes was also invited to a 2015 White House dinner in honor of the prime minister of Japan, according to an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/realitycheck\/the-press-office\/2015\/04\/28\/expected-attendees-tonight-s-japan-state-dinner\">invitation<\/a> unearthed by the Washington Examiner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/joe-biden-theranos-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Elizabeth Holmes\" class=\"wp-image-20713650\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/joe-biden-theranos-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/joe-biden-theranos-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/joe-biden-theranos-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Holmes was convicted of fraud on Monday.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The jury in Holmes\u2019 trial found that she defrauded some investors by lying about the potential of Theranos\u2019 blood testing technology.
