\/>\n        MU,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205710729\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.25%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       recently changed hands at $96.78 Wednesday afternoon, putting them on track to eclipse the record close of $96.56 that they established on July 14, 2000, according to Dow Jones Market Data.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Micron shares are set to rise for the third straight trading session and continue their strong recent rally. The chip maker\u2019s stock has gained about 38% over the past three months amid optimism about improving trends in the memory market.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison, the PHLX Semiconductor Index<br \/>\n        SOX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598361\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-1.12%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       has dropped about 15% over the past three months and the S&amp;P 500 index<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-0.45%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       has gained 9.9%.<\/p>\n<p>Evercore ISI analyst C.J. Muse chimed in with an upbeat take on memory dynamics Wednesday, following a recent conversation with the company\u2019s chief financial officer. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[L]ong-term agreements (which cover ~75% of Micron\u2019s revenues) are helping provide excellent visibility for management and, when coupled with <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly lean inventories, continue to point to the [February quarter] as the bottom with clear line of sight to acceleration into Micron\u2019s 2HFY22,\u201d he wrote in a note titled: \u201cVisibility To A Bottom Intensifying\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Muse also discussed recent COVID-19 protocols in Xi\u2019an, China, which have caused disruptions for Micron and others that operate facilities there, and the need to comply with new regulations around workplace staffing meant to help curb spread of the virus. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe note that Samsung\u2019s [Xi\u2019an] facility manufactures front-end NAND wafers, while Micron\u2019s is used instead for back-end test and assembly (which they noted they can flexibly shift around their global footprint),\u201d he wrote. \u201cAs a result, the impact of Xi\u2019an shutdowns is likely to be much more pronounced on NAND pricing than DRAM pricing, with the market likely to get a better view of the overall impact in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Muse pointed to management\u2019s expectations for \u201crelatively balanced\u201d supply and demand across DRAM and NAND throughout the calendar year.
