Sony is building electric vehicles next. In 2020, Sony surprised many when it <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sony.com\/en\/SonyInfo\/News\/Press\/202001\/20-001E\/\">teased<\/a> the Vision-S concept EV, showing just how serious it is about electric cars. Then, at\u00a0CES 2022, the company kicked things into high gear and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sony.com\/en\/SonyInfo\/News\/Press\/202201\/22-002E\/\">announced<\/a> Sony Mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Sony Mobility is the company\u2019s new automotive division, and to remind us that it\u2019s making EVs, Sony just debuted its beautiful new Vision-S 02 concept SUV. And honestly, it looks pretty great.<\/p>\n<p>The Vision-S 02 prototype combines many of Sony\u2019s imaging and sensor technologies, developments in AI, telecommunication, and more, to create an electric vehicle that could soon rival Tesla. Just like the model shown off two years ago, the Vision-S 02 SUV packs in over 30+ sensors for autonomous driving, an extensive infotainment setup with <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>le displays across the entire front dash, screens in the back, a glass panorama roof, and several other exciting features.<\/p>\n<p>And while Sony didn\u2019t share a ton of specs, we have a few details along with the teaser images and video below.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Before you think that this is just a concept like the 2020 sedan, Sony actually\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/news\/sony-vision-s-electric-car-ces\/\">started test-driving<\/a> the original Vision-S on European roads last year. So basically, the company is pretty serious about electric vehicles, and this latest SUV concept could soon become a reality.<\/p>\n<p>The overall size and shape looks quite similar to Tesla\u2019s Model Y, but things could change if this ever goes into production.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"3jZmLIe_vEA\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/3jZmLIe_vEA\/hqdefault.jpg');\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>During the announcement, Sony did state the new Vision-S 02 SUV runs on two electric motors capable of a combined 536 horsepower. Unfortunately, we didn\u2019t get any information about battery sizes, charging speeds, or an estimated driving range.
