\nNew footage from The Office<\/em> is still getting released almost a decade after the series<\/a> ended its run. On Peacock, the streaming service has just added its special “Superfan” episodes which feature never-before-seen deleted scenes and other bonus content. For season 4, this includes a new cold open, and that clip has been posted online for you to watch below.

In the clip, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) can be heard screaming from the office restroom as Dwight (Rainn Wilson) rushes to investigate. A distraught Michael emerges with Dwight carrying several wet items which had app<\/a>arently all fallen into the toilet. Michael says that one by one, he started dropping everything he had into the toilet, including his cell phone, wallet, keys, Bluetooth earpiece, and even his candy corn.

Phyllis (Phyllis Smith) can’t help but laugh at Michael, who insists that what happened isn’t funny. Perhaps trying to help, Dwight reminds Michael that this is technically “toilet humor,” which is something Michael claims to enjoy. Instead, Michael snaps back, “It is not toilet humor, it is toilet tragedy.”<\/p>\n

While The Office<\/em> concluded in 2013 after nine seasons, it remains one of today’s most popular shows. This is undoubtedly because of its availability on streaming services with fans continuing to binge the series repeatedly. In 2019, Peacock shelled out big bucks to pick up the streaming rights to the show which had been dominating the most-watched titles list on Netflix for years. At the time, it was reported that the hope was to one day reboot the series on the streamer as well.

\n\u201cIt is my hope and goal that we do an Office<\/em> reboot,\u201d NBCUniversal’s Bonnie Hammer told Deadline<\/a>. “It is my hope that we can figure what that great reboot would be. We are having conversations. We want there to be some connective tissue to what we also have in the library.”

\nOver the years, various cast members have also teased that they’re open to revisiting the series. Certain stars like John Krasinski have said they’d like to do a one-off reunion special to check back in with their characters, but that a reboot series with the same characters doesn’t seem plausible given the way the show ended. Creator Greg Daniels has suggested that one way to do this would be to film new “lost scenes” set in the past which could bring back characters like Michael Scott.

\n“I think it’s probably more likely now that the show is on Peacock, but no plans right now, certainly,” Daniels said last year. “People are more open to it now, it seems like. The issue is, what’s left to be said about the characters? A lot of them aren’t working there anymore. Jim and Pam live in Texas now, so does Darryl… But it would be fun to find some lost episodes and just shoot them as if they were back in 2010 or something.”
