He filed his retirement paperwork 14 months earlier when he was appointed to the employee-relations role and currently makes a $245,438 annual salary.<\/p>\n<p>Both were referred to as deputy commissioners despite not carrying the title officially, according to city payroll. Reznick was listed as a director of Internal Affairs and Ganley was an assistant to the police commissioner, city documents show. <\/p>\n<p>Under the City Charter, the NYPD is only supposed to have seven deputies.
