{"id":391148,"date":"2022-01-08T02:43:29","date_gmt":"2022-01-07T23:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/inside-the-11-5m-home-jessica-simpson-risked-to-save-brand\/"},"modified":"2022-01-08T02:43:29","modified_gmt":"2022-01-07T23:43:29","slug":"inside-the-11-5m-home-jessica-simpson-risked-to-save-brand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/inside-the-11-5m-home-jessica-simpson-risked-to-save-brand\/","title":{"rendered":"#Inside the $11.5M home Jessica Simpson risked to save brand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Inside the $11.5M home Jessica Simpson risked to save brand<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Jessica Simpson wanted her billion-dollar fashion brand back, and she once considered \u201cborrowing against her homes,\u201d to do it.<\/p>\n<p>In a lengthy interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/features\/2022-01-05\/pop-star-jessica-simpson-wants-her-billion-dollar-fashion-empire-back\">Bloomberg Businessweek,<\/a> the business mogul revealed the desperate measures she took to salvage her fashion empire. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if I have to go live in a little, tiny place in Ireland, I will,\u201d Simpson, 41, explained.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to take back her company came about during an already dramatic period in her life. <\/p>\n<p>In 2019, while 34 weeks pregnant with her third child, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/01\/07\/jessica-simpson-recalls-being-on-hospital-breathing-machine\/\">Simpson was hospitalized with severe bronchitis as her daughter\u2019s status began to deteriorate<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer oxygen levels were dropping. I couldn\u2019t breathe,\u201d said Simpson, who was hooked up an oxygen machine. A six-bedroom, 10-bathroom Hidden Hills abode that spans 11,000 square feet and is situated on over 2 acres of land. But those who had a stake on the brand quickly realized they had gotten ahead of themselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow in God\u2019s name are they going to make enough money through licensing to cover the costs?\u201d Michael Stone, chairman and co-founder of brand licensing agency Beanstalk Group LLC, told Bloomberg. \u201cI couldn\u2019t do the math.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By August 2021, Sequential Brands Group Inc. would file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.<\/p>\n<p>And a month later, Simpson reportedly offered to buy the brand out of bankruptcy for $65 million.<\/p>\n<p>In October, before she knew it, Simpson was CEO of the Jessica Simpson Collection after her determination to reclaim the brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt means the absolute world to me to be able to take over complete ownership of my brand,\u201d Simpson told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/footwearnews.com\/2021\/business\/financial-news\/jessica-simpson-owns-brand-sequential-brands-deal-2-1203194932\/\">Footwear News<\/a> in a separate interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter 16 years in business, I feel ready to meet this next exciting phase with open arms.
