Voice acting unit <\/span>Seiyu San-Shimai Team Y<\/b> announced on Twitter<\/a> that an anime adaptation of the comedy manga <\/span>Teppen<\/span><\/i>\u2014<\/span><\/i>!!! <\/span><\/i>is in production for a 2022 premiere. No specific air date has been announced as of yet.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The manga series was developed by artist <\/span>Namamugi<\/b> and writer <\/span>Inujun,<\/b> first launching in Monthly Bushiroad. It\u2019s based on the real life <\/span>Seiyu San-Shimai Team Y<\/b> voice acting unit consisting of <\/span>Mikoi Sasaki<\/b> (<\/span>Kemono Friends)<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Aimi <\/b>(<\/span>BanG Dream!<\/span><\/i>), and <\/span>Ayasa Itou <\/b>(<\/span>BanG Dream!<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The story follows three high school girls aiming to rise to the top of the comedy world. Yayoi Sakamoto, a superfan of comedians and their performances, enrolls in a private school where she reunites with her childhood friend, Yomogi Takahashi. When they were little, they formed a comedy duo called Konamonzu and performed once again in a park to win a local contest. Soon after, a girl mysteriously reaches out to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The official anime title in full is stylized as <\/span>Teppen\u2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/i>, using 15 exclamation points in total instead of the manga\u2019s three exclamation points. The production team has teased that these exclamation points will have significance in the anime adaptation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
