Google Assistant-enabled Nest speakers and smart displays have some parental controls you should check out.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Do_the_Parental_Controls_Do\"><\/span>What Do the Parental Controls Do?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Google\u2019s parental controls for smart speakers and displays are divided into two categories: \u201cFilters\u201d and \u201cDowntime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Filters allow you to control what kind of content can be fetched by Google Assistant. This includes the types of videos, music, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>, and podcasts. On top of that, you can choose to disable certain features such as making calls.<\/p>\n<p>Downtime lets you make the speaker or smart device unusable at certain times. This is especially useful if you have a speaker in your kids\u2019 bedroom and you don\u2019t want them using it at night.<\/p>\n<p>We have a full guide on setting up Downtime, so we\u2019ll be focusing on the Filters set up process here.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Set_Up_Filters\"><\/span>How to Set Up Filters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First, open the Google Home <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> on your\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-home\/id680819774\">iPhone<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-home\/id680819774\">iPad<\/a>, or\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.chromecast.app&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Android<\/a>\u00a0device.
