\nNew York, NY \u2013 <\/span> Cordae brought his upcoming album, From a Bird\u2019s Eye View<\/em>, to late-night TV on Monday night (January 10) with a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the release of his sophomore LP on January 14, the 24-year-old rapp<\/a>er treated the 30 Rock audience to a performance of his recently released single \u201cSinister.\u201d Although Lil Wayne wasn\u2019t on hand to perform his guest verse, Cordae delivered a jazzy rendition of the song with the help of a live band.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t just existing material on his setlist, though. Cordae capped off his second Tonight Show<\/em> appearance by launching into a new song off his forthcoming album called \u201cChronicles.\u201d The DMV native may believe he\u2019s the best rapper under the age of 25, but this melodic, R&B-infused tune shines a spotlight on his singing ability.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn this road, and I\u2019m not sure where my heart is headed\/And if you left me now, I\u2019d fall, regret it\/Could you once think twice that I\u2019m indebted?\/I can\u2019t waste no time, I know my time is precious,\u201d he croons.<\/p>\n

The final version of the track, which interpolates Destiny\u2019s Child\u2019s 1999 hit \u201cSay My Name,\u201d features contributions from Chicago rap star Lil Durk and R&B songstress H.E.R.<\/p>\n

During his appearance, Cordae also joined Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show<\/em> couch to discuss his rap idols (Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Nas and JAY-Z); launching his own label, High Level; and the concept behind From a Bird\u2019s Eye View<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means to see things from outside of yourself,\u201d he explained. \u201cAs human beings, we tend to all have main character syndrome, but to see things from a more zoomed-out lens. Me and you can get into an argument on TV and I can leave here like, \u2018Aww man, Jimmy he\u2019s not a nice guy!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cBut to see things from a bird\u2019s eye view is like, \u2018Oh, I can understand how I<\/em> was wrong.\u2019 So to see things from a wider lens and broader perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n
