While renewals of any series will depend solely on how well the current one performs, in an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/peacemaker-season-2-updates-future-james-gunn-response\/\">Screen Rant<\/a>, Gunn had fun when asked whether he would want to make any more seasons of the show. While he joked that he had plans to make<em> <\/em><em>Peacemaker<\/em> until he and star John Cena are very old, the director also made it clear that everyone involved in the series would welcome a return soon.<br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #1! --><!-- No winning ad found for zone: Below First Paragraph! --><!-- No winning ad found for zone: mid intro! --><br \/>\n&#8220;We have 87 seasons mapped out. Yeah, we&#8217;re gonna be doing this until John and I are 150 years old,&#8221; Gunn said. &#8220;But yeah, no we all want to continue. We really want to continue. It was the greatest group of people. Obviously, I was already friends with John and Jenn [Holland], obviously, and Steve Agee. But Danielle [Brooks] and Chuk [Iwuji] \u2014 [Chuk] is one of my best friends. Chuk is one of the primary characters now in <em>Guardians 3<\/em>, and he is murdering it on this movie. Early reviews have all mentioned the humor of the series and the way it expands on both John Cena&#8217;s Christopher Smith as a character and also the world of the DCEU in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>. Considering how long Warner Bros. held off making movies based in the DCEU that went beyond the 12A rating, their recent run of projects aimed squarely at adults has proven that there is a big market out there for the right characters.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\nWhile <em>Peacemaker<\/em> is James Gunn&#8217;s first dip into the world of television, it is certainly not going to be his last. He is already working on the <em>Guardians of The Galaxy Holiday Special<\/em> for Marvel Studios and Disney and has already confirmed that he will be returning to Warner Bros. after that for another secret project. Many fans of <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em> are hoping for more character spin-off series, and with the studio wanting to beef out their DC content on HBO Max no one expects <em>Peacemaker<\/em> to be the only character to be heading in this direction.
