However, T-Mobile has put those claims to bed by asserting that it\u2019s not blocking anything.<\/p>\n<p>After reports circulated all over the internet, T-Mobile was forced to step in and explain that the only time Private Relay was blocked was when users had parental controls enabled on their devices.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/01\/10\/t-mobile-block-icloud-private-relay\/\">9To5Mac<\/a>, T-Mobile said, \u201cCustomers who chose plans and features with content filtering (e.g. parent controls) do not have access to the iCloud Private Relay to allow these services to work as designed. All other customers have no restrictions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, 9To5Mac claims it doesn\u2019t have any of those content filtering features enabled, and it\u2019s still unable to use Apple\u2019s feature as intended. Hence, it\u2019s still relatively unclear what is happening. Something is preventing them from using it, but if T-Mobile\u2019s statement is accurate, it doesn\u2019t seem that the carrier is responsible.<\/p>\n<p>The original error message on iPhone is as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Your cellular plan doesn\u2019t support iCloud Private Relay.
