{"id":393169,"date":"2022-01-12T22:47:28","date_gmt":"2022-01-12T19:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/man-has-giant-living-bug-pulled-out-of-his-ear-during-nightmare-er-visit\/"},"modified":"2022-01-12T22:47:28","modified_gmt":"2022-01-12T19:47:28","slug":"man-has-giant-living-bug-pulled-out-of-his-ear-during-nightmare-er-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/man-has-giant-living-bug-pulled-out-of-his-ear-during-nightmare-er-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"#Man has giant, living bug pulled out of his ear during nightmare ER visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Man has giant, living bug pulled out of his ear during nightmare ER visit<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/this-came-out-of-me-00.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A wince-inducing video shows a Texas man having a giant insect pulled out of his ear after the large critter flew into his lug while he was working in his garage.<\/p>\n<p>The patient, identified only as Ronald, was featured on this week\u2019s episode of <em>This Came Out Of Me<\/em>, a Discovery Channel reality <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> that profiles unusual and extreme medical emergencies treated by ER doctors in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>In the episode, which aired on Sunday, Ronald is heard telling nurse Paige Grissom how he had been fixing up his dune buggy outside in the garage of his Odessa home when a \u201cdaggum bug flew in my ear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked whether he believed the bug was still alive, Ronald responds that he believes it is, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s really irritating. It feels like it\u2019s got some wings and it\u2019s down on my eardrum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDrives me crazy,\u201d he adds. \u201cI couldn\u2019t stand up because it was just so uncomfortable \u2026 makes me just unstable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Greg Starr assesses Ronald and discovers the bug has lodged itself inside his \u201cleft external auditory canal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Starr injects several doses of lidocaine \u2013 a type of local anesthetic \u2013 into Ronald\u2019s eardrum in a bid to either stun or kill the insect.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald is seen writhing around in pain on a hospital bed as the drug is administered.<\/p>\n<p>After the third dose, Ronald jerks his legs up in the air in discomfort and shakes his head as the winged critter is prized from his ear canal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"\/>\n<p>Incredibly, the bug was still alive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooks like a moth,\u201d Starr is heard exclaiming as he holds the bug up to the camera.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoth us, cloth us, eat us up-us,\u201d he jokes.<\/p>\n<p>Footage of the clip has since gone viral on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>, drawing reactions of shock, disgust and horror in equal measure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy worst nightmare,\u201d wrote one viewer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd \u2026 I\u2019ll never sleep again,\u201d added a second, along with a sick-face emoji.<\/p>\n<p>A third wrote: \u201cF**k that I would be jumping around as well that\u2019s f**k[ed] up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>This Came Out Of Me<\/em> is a brand new Discovery Channel series that premiered on January 2.<\/p>\n<p>The reality show is based in\u00a0Texas\u00a0and profiles some of the most bizarre and extreme procedures performed by Emergency Room doctors in hospitals across Texas, including in Odessa, Austin, Houston, and Midland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking in the Emergency Room is all about rolling with the punches and is not for the squeamish,\u201d Discovery wrote in a press release promoting the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the doctors and nurses at the 21 SignatureCare Emergency Center locations throughout Texas, it\u2019s a chance to take on the challenge of helping people with painful, unusual, and sometimes even gruesome emergency cases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a monster bug being pulled from Ronald\u2019s ear, the series also profiles a number of other freak incidents including one patient whose leg became impaled by a slab of concrete, and a toddler who swallowed a princess doll.<\/p>\n<p><em>This article originally <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/health\/4442589\/man-monster-bug-stuck-ear-hospital-remove-video\/\">The Sun<\/a> and was reproduced here with permission.<\/em>\n                        <\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
