If you pay for Game Pass you can share it between two consoles, and even play the same game on both at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>What Is Xbox Game Pass, and Is It Worth It?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sharing_Your_Game_Pass_Subscription\"><\/span>Sharing Your Game Pass Subscription<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s get one thing out of the way before you start: there\u2019s nothing wrong with doing this and you won\u2019t be banned by Microsoft for sharing your subscription between two consoles. Microsoft created the \u201cgame sharing\u201d system which allows for subscriptions and games to be shared with other consoles.<\/p>\n<p>This method only works across two consoles. They can be any two consoles within the Xbox family that can take advantage of Game Pass. That means if you have a new Xbox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Series<\/a> X and an older Xbox One S, you can share your subscription with both. It doesn\u2019t have to be\u00a0<em>your<\/em> console, nor does it have to have access to your Xbox account once the setup has been completed. You will need to log in on the console you want to share with to set it up in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Be very careful if you\u2019re sharing with someone you don\u2019t entirely trust, where you can\u2019t set up the share in person. You\u2019ll need to sign in with your Xbox credentials to enable sharing, and for security purposes, you\u2019ll probably want to delete your account afterward unless you trust the other party entirely. If both consoles are under the same roof, this should be less of a concern.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve shared your subscription with another console, any user accounts on that (secondary) console will be able to access the Game Pass library using the relevant app. Others can download games as if the subscription was tied to their own accounts, and access Xbox Live Gold if you pay for that too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Share Games on Steam<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Use_Game_Pass_on_Two_Xbox_Consoles\"><\/span>How to Use Game Pass on Two Xbox Consoles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Microsoft allows you to set one console as your \u201cHome\u201d Xbox, which means that the Game Pass subscription is available to everyone on that console. You\u2019ll simply need to log in (as you would normally, automatically if you prefer) to access your Game Pass subscription and games library.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Add_Your_Account_to_the_Secondary_Xbox\"><\/span>1. Add Your Account to the Secondary Xbox<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This can seem a little complicated but it\u2019s pretty simple. For this example, Person A owns Xbox A, and Person B owns Xbox B. Person A would like to share their Game Pass subscription with Xbox B, while still retaining the ability to play on Xbox A.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-776594 size-full\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/add_account.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Add account to Xbox console\" width=\"650\" height=\"491\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The first thing to do is to add Person A\u2019s account to Xbox B. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button, moving to the \u201cProfile and System\u201d tab, and selecting \u201cAdd or Switch\u201d followed by the \u201cAdd New\u201d button. Sign in with your username and password to add it to Xbox B.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Set_the_Secondary_Xbox_as_the_%E2%80%9CHome%E2%80%9D_Console\"><\/span>2. Set the Secondary Xbox as the \u201cHome\u201d Console<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With Person A\u2019s account active, it\u2019s time to make Xbox B the \u201cHome\u201d console so that Person B can access the library. Remove Person A\u2019s Account (optional)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Person A might not be comfortable with Person B having unhindered access to their account, especially if the consoles aren\u2019t in the same household or are in shared spaces. The good <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> is that you can remove Person A\u2019s account from Xbox B and still retain access to the Game Pass subscription since the \u201cHome\u201d Xbox remains unchanged.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-776596 size-full\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/remove_accounts.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Remove account from Xbox console\" width=\"650\" height=\"503\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>To remove an account, head to Settings &gt; Account &gt; Remove Accounts and select Person A\u2019s account from the list.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Things_You_Should_Know_About_Sharing_Game_Pass\"><\/span>Things You Should Know About Sharing Game Pass<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can only change your \u201cHome\u201d Xbox five times per year, so be aware of this if you intend on buying new hardware or making changes to who gets access to your account. Once you\u2019ve used these five changes, your \u201cHome\u201d Xbox will be set until the time expires.<\/p>\n<p>For Person A to play Game Pass titles on Xbox A, they will need to be connected to the internet. The \u201cHome\u201d console (Xbox B) can play games offline in the event of a network outage since digital licenses are transferred to that console. Xbox A (no longer set as \u201cHome\u201d) will need an active network connection to play games.<\/p>\n<p>Secondary accounts on Xbox A won\u2019t be able to play Game Pass games unless Person A (who pays for the subscription) is also signed in. This is a simple case of signing in as normal, then adding and switching to a secondary account by pressing the Xbox button, tabbing to the \u201cProfile and system tab\u201d and using the \u201cAdd or Switch\u201d button to sign in.<\/p>\n<p>If Person A wants to revoke access on Xbox B, they can set their \u201cHome\u201d Xbox to Xbox A (or any other Xbox console) and Xbox B will lose access to Person A\u2019s subscriptions and game library.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Play_the_Same_Game_on_Two_Consoles_at_Once\"><\/span>Play the Same Game on Two Consoles at Once<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the best things about this method is that it allows you to play the same game on two consoles at once. This means you can play multiplayer titles like <em>Sea of Thieves<\/em> or <em>Back 4 Blood<\/em> at the same time, with a single account. There are many more multiplayer experiences on Game Pass that you can take advantage of with this method.<\/p>\n<p>The only catch is that you cannot use the same account on both consoles. You can only be signed in on a single console at any one time. This prevents you from using a single Game Pass subscription on more than two consoles.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure the person playing on Xbox B (the new \u201cHome\u201d console) is using their own account and everything should just work as advertised.
