class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A US trade court barred\u00a0Google\u00a0late Thursday from importing products that infringe home-audio company\u00a0Sonos\u2019 smart-speaker patents.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. International Trade Commission <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fingfx.thomsonreuters.com\/gfx\/legaldocs\/mypmnbaakvr\/IP%20GOOGLE%20SONOS%20PATENTS%20itc.pdf\">affirmed<\/a> an August decision that\u00a0Google\u00a0audio products infringed five\u00a0Sonos\u00a0patents and banned\u00a0Google\u00a0from importing \u201cnetworked speaker devices\u201d and devices that can control them like mobile phones and laptops.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling says\u00a0Google\u00a0won\u2019t be barred from importing products that it had redesigned to avoid infringing the patents. <\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0Google\u00a0spokesperson said it does not expect the decision to affect its ability to import or sell its products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will seek further review and continue to defend ourselves against\u00a0Sonos\u2019 frivolous claims about our partnership and intellectual property,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Sonos\u2019 Chief Legal Officer Eddie Lazarus called the ruling an \u201cacross-the-board\u201d win and said\u00a0Google\u2019s parties have been embroiled in a global patent war over multi-room audio <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> since 2020 that includes court cases in California, Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands, according to a\u00a0Sonos\u00a0regulatory filing.<\/p>\n<p>Sonos\u00a0first sued\u00a0Google\u00a0in Los Angeles, alleging the company misused its technology in \u201cmore than a dozen different infringing products,\u201d including\u00a0Google\u00a0Home speakers and Pixel phones, tablets, and laptops.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" permission for several products, including controller <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>s and its\u00a0Sonos\u00a0Radio service.<\/p>\n<p>At the ITC,\u00a0Sonos\u00a0had been trying to
