It will compare this with a set value, and if it’s greater, it’ll send a message.

#!/bin/bash
CURRENT=$(df / | grep / | awk '{ print $5}' | sed 's/%//g')
THRESHOLD=90

if [ "$CURRENT" -gt "$THRESHOLD" ] ; then
curl -X POST -H 'Content-type: application/json' --data "{"text":"Your server `$(hostname)` is currently at ${CURRENT}% disk capacity."}"
fi

You have plenty of options for how to get messages, and it will depend on your preferred contact. The simplest would be to set up the
mail
utility to send you emails from the command line.
